This tank was lost during Exercise Tiger when it sank shortly after being launched from a landing craft. It was discovered by local man Ken Small who purchased the tank, recovered it and established it as a memorial to all those who died during Exercise Tiger.
(a more detailed history is available on the website and in the book “The Forgotten Dead” by Ken Small - see 'Discussion' for details)
