Vehicle History
This example is an M4A4, or Sherman V, and was built at the Detroit Tank Arsenal sometime between July 1942 and September 1943. It served with the Guards Armoured Division probably in the campaign in north-west Europe in 1944-1945. It was bought by the Museum in 1971.
