Very good. Has been restored to running condition, and is only missing a few, minor details. The vehicle has a metal frame mounted on top of the fighting compartment, the origin of which is uncertain. The colours and scheme of the camouflage has been carefully selected to match the original.
This Hummel is the only early version of the Hummel still in existance. It was on display at the Patton Museum until 1976, after which is was given to Bundeswehr's Kampftruppenschule 2, who restored it to running condition in 1982.
