Vehicle History

According to an eye witness, the tank fell into a river while attempting to cross it in 1945. Two crewmembers drowned, the other two were killed after being captured.

The vehicle may have belonged to the Brandenburg Division.

Recovery was attempted in 1950, and while parts were recovered, the upper hull was not recovered until 2006, with the lower hull recovered in 2008.
