Vehicle History

Refurbished by Ferrari postwar, then bought by Haiti from an Italian arms broker in the 1950s along with five Light Tank M5A1. In service in Haiti until the 1970s. Found in a poor state by US forces during Operation Uphold Democracy (1994) and flown to Anniston Army Depot, AL. Subsequently moved to the 1st Divison museum in Baumholder (Germany) by the 37th transport Battalion. In September 2009, the now-restored M3A1 was moved to Ft Bliss TX when the 1st Armored Division was withdrawn from Europe. It remains on display there as of 2015.
