Vehicle History

IS-2 heavy tank, manufactured in December 1945. No. factory (240-412458) indicates that he did not fight in the ranks of the 4th or 5th Heavy Tank Regiment and was most likely purchased from the USSR in the 1950s.

The tank is one of the first exhibits at the Armored Weapons Museum.

In 2013, after a renovation carried out by volunteers from the Circle of Friends of the Armored Weapons Museum, the IS-2 permanently entered the fleet of vehicles in running condition.

After the renovation, the tank received the paint (emblem and number) of a tank from the 4th Heavy Tank Regiment
